Rachel started her career as a Healthcare Assistant and then worked her way up to Senior Care Assistant before embarking on her nurse training. Rachel qualified as a general nurse in 2013 and as an anaesthetic nurse in 2017, subsequently working in theatre at Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. She has hands-on experience with all aspects of what is involved in caring for people in a nursing home setting and was always keen to return to the care sector at some point in a management role and began working towards management qualifications in December 2021 before taking up her role as Home Manager at Bethshan at the end of August 2022.
Rachel is married with one son and three daughters as well as three grandchildren. She enjoys walking and reading and has a dog and two cats.
NURSING AND HEALTHCARE STAFF
We strive for excellence in all that we do and are committed to continuous improvement. Our staff team are selected for their warmth and personality as well as their professional abilities and are dedicated to providing high quality care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.
All of our staff receive a comprehensive induction program and are encouraged to develop their nursing and caring skills through further training. All Care Assistants are supported to work towards NVQ qualifications and we have an excellent ratio of those with both Level 2 and Level 3 Health and Social Care.
SUPPORT STAFF
We believe that all nursing and care staff should be doing exactly what they are employed to do and that is why our excellent auxiliary staff have such an important and integral part to play in the smooth running of the home.
Laundry is done daily on-site by our hard-working team and everywhere is kept clean, tidy and (very importantly) smelling fresh by our dedicated domestic staff.
Our maintenance staff ensure that everything is in safe working order as well as keeping the premises in the best possible condition.
ADMIN STAFF
Our dedicated team of finance and administration staff provide support to all the departments as well as providing a warm welcome to all visitors to the Home.
